Can anyone point me to a good source on Oil?

pre MOU with iran there were reports that several places were approaching a critical level (see comments by Exon CEO, trump among others). Obviously since then there has been SOME transit of the straight but the best data Ive been able to find is that the area was able to get close to about 75% of pre war oil export levels (including pipelines). Obviously a large portion of that transit has been interrupted again, however we havent seen a spike in oil levels commensurate to what we had previousl

What's more impressive performance, big sudden gains, or a long track record of beating the market?

I noticed something recently. When I see people posting about making hundreds of percentage point gains on the normal YOLO-subs, it really doesn't impress me or raise feelings of envy at all, but it probably would have when I was young. If you get sudden gains, it was either based on luck or inside information. I remember Howard Marks roughly stating that over a long period of time, the top performing investors were basically never in the top 5% for any given year. (This may not be the exact mat

Podcasts and other educational content- what are peoples top picks?

I wanna get a wide variety of options from authoritative voices. Ideally people with a solid track record of making accurate predictions. I currently listen to prof g markets and Ben Cowen for some crypto analysis. But that’s probably only giving me a fraction of the story. Ultimately I want analysis and predictions over strait up news. Basically what media are people swearing by? Open to any ideas! submitted by /u/mrlebusciut [link] [comments]

https://www.reddit.com/r/luftablassen/comments/1urm8x6/die_finanzbildung_meiner_mutter_ist_under_9000/ If it's not ragebait. I really didn't know that there were people who voluntarily brought 6-figure sums to the insurance company so that they would pay them back the money they paid in without any return over the next 25 years. To be honest, I didn't even know that this pointless product even existed. Why do people think like that? Is it just a fixation on monthly payments?

It's worth buying - that can't be right?

Hey Carbonara disciples, you have to steer me onto the right path again, I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere. I have been investing in the holy grail for several years and until yesterday I was firmly convinced that an apartment/house for personal use was not an investment, but a pure dream hobby. Buy a car or lease another through a company?

I'm currently leasing a car through AG for 0.5% of the list price - all inclusive, just put the car back in the yard and get a new one. Refueling/charging costs a flat rate of €100 per month. All-in ~€500 from the net. Now I'm wondering whether buying would be cheaper. For example, there is a Caddy Maxi Style, 15k down, one year old, 41k. If I invest the money in the all world, the calculated return after taxes would be €200. Refueling would then be more like €100 more than the flat rate. Copilot says depreciation, insurance

Accidentally enrolled in DRIP during company blackout period

I was looking around in my ESPP portal and stupidly clicked to reinvest dividends. I am not c-suite but I have access to MNPI as a designated associate and am subject to blackout periods. Does this need to be reported internally? I am seeing conflicting answers. I work for a large company and am scared of the repercussions because our legal & HR are brutal. Building wealth - Assuming you have to start from scratch

Hello, I had an interesting discussion in the office today. A lot was about building wealth and especially the slightly older colleagues talked a lot about what they would recommend to their children (=it feels like everyone is starting a dual course of study in the company or is studying to become a teacher...). Suppose you had to start from scratch straight after your studies. How would you start with what you know today? What would you do differently and why? I would probably invest more in education

Value factor as a return booster?

Hello everyone, I'm currently reading up on factor investing and would like to get your opinion on a potential strategy expansion. The common mantra here in the forum or as with Finanzfluss/Finanztip is usually: “Keep it simple” via MSCI World + EM or directly as a one-ETF solution via the FTSE All-World. This is absolutely solid as a forecast-free basic investment, but I wonder whether performance is being left behind here. Specifically, I got the iShares Ed

What will happen to the stock market if the iran war drags on for years?

If the war in iran keeps on going on, the price of oil will never go down and prices of everything will skyrocket. Can this drag the stock market into a correction or possibly a crash? We already see how fragile the economy is with very low jobs numbers and the s&p 500 being carried by the ai hype so im concerned this can be the last tipping point that breaks everything. In the future, health insurance companies will no longer have to provide information about cost increases

A change in the GKV reform, which is to be decided on Friday, stipulates that the health insurance companies' obligation to inform their members should no longer apply if they increase additional contributions. What's going on when a company pays ridiculous dividends yet the stock is plummeting. Case in point, gmex. besides myself, is anyone else concerned that micron is now considered a value play?

VTV's largest holding is now micron, MU - all because one of it's heaviest factors is the Forward Price-to-Earnings (Forward P/E) ratio. A lot of AI discussions seem to mix two different questions together. One question is whether AI is useful. A few years back, I remember reading that ~5% of your investment portfolio should be in something that’s high risk-high reward, so that if it doesn’t pay out, no big deal since it’s only 5%, but could be meaningful if it does pay off. I feel like the stock market is overvalued right now, and the risk/reward isn't there for me personally. Most companies are experimenting with and overspending on AI without any clear ROI yet.
