◇ Methodology

The Migration Atlas shows aggregated public data on displacement, asylum, protection status, legal migration, returns and selected administrative/justice indicators. The data does not support statements about individual persons and does not enable blanket judgements on countries of origin, nationalities or residence status.

Live data: Sources: Eurostat (asylum, temporary protection, returns — EU-27), UNHCR Refugee Data Finder (global origin-destination flows + protection stocks), Statistics Canada (Crime Severity Index for Canada). Data refreshes every 6 hours from the respective public APIs. If a country/year has no data, this is shown transparently as "no data available".
