Buy the cheapest product from the luxury brand, experiences?

I know that this sub is rather economical, but I still wondered if there are people here who have treated themselves to the cheapest product from a high-end luxury brand. Porsche Boxter or Rolex OP immediately come to mind. My question is whether you were happy with the purchase. Was it a significant upgrade to the previous product, how was it received in the environment and would you have preferred to treat yourself to “the right one”, i.e. the 911, Daydate, etc. And why did it not?
