Prevent the closure of further emergency practices in the country

An amendment submitted by the SPD parliamentary group was voted on by name in the state parliament. This was preceded by a proposal from the SPD parliamentary group, which envisages the closure of further emergency practices in Baden-Württemberg. The application was discussed as a report request in the state parliament and supplemented by a statement from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration. The amendment voted on by name specifically calls for the closure plans for 18 emergency practices to be abandoned in order not to endanger care in rural areas. The closure of the first practices will begin on March 31, 2025, and the last of the 18 emergency practices are scheduled to close on November 30, 2025. The amendment was defeated by 83 votes. 53 members of the opposition factions and Sabine Kurtz (CDU) voted for the motion. There was one abstention from Manuel Hailfinger (CDU).
