Two million euros for independent publishers – applications start for the German Publishing Prize 2026

The application phase for the German Publishing Prize 2026 has begun. Independent publishers can now apply for the award again. With this award, the Federal Government is honoring publishers for the eighth time who are distinguished by exceptional programs, special cultural commitment, innovative projects or the special quality of their publishing work.
