Pakistan’s mediators in Iran as US downs drones, Lebanon looks for peace

Pakistan’s interior minister was in Tehran on Sunday in a fresh bid to restart negotiations between Iran and the US, as the American military said it shot down two more Iranian drones over the Strait of Hormuz that threatened international maritime traffic. The latest action came as the Washington presses for Iran to make a deal to end the war in the Middle East, which has strained the global economy and threatened a hunger crisis in some of the world’s most vulnerable countries. Where does the value of money come from? - Question about the monetary system

If I have 1€ and everyone else has 1 cent, I am rich. If everyone suddenly has €1, no one is rich anymore even though nothing has changed in my number. Doesn't that mean that in the end it's all about ratio and not the absolute amount? And if that's true, don't you lose value as soon as others get more, even if you stay the same? What then is the idea behind increasing the minimum wage? Does this actually solve a problem or does it just shift the relationships? Is that

North Korea says its nuclear programme is ‘irreversible’ ahead of Chinese leader’s visit

North Korea said on Sunday that its nuclear weapons programme was “irreversible”, challenging the US push for denuclearisation a day before Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit. After Donald Trump’s meeting with Xi last month, the United States said the two leaders shared the goal of denuclearising the Korean peninsula, although the Chinese statement did not mention the issue. But Kim Yo-jong, the sister of the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, described the comments as “false information”, and..

Smoking is down but why are more Hong Kong women getting lung cancer?

Question about capital gains tax

I understand that gains on capital gains up to €1000 are tax-free and after that I have to pay 25% tax. Let's say I have already achieved exactly €1000 in profit this year (e.g. through interest, dividends, sales) and have already realized it. Now I still have two blocks of shares. With one I'm up €1000 since I bought it and with the second I'm down €1000 since I bought it. If I only sold the Plus package I would only make a profit of €750. Now the question: If I he

Reputable (online) courses on the subject of tax returns for property owners, purchasing property, renting, etc.?

Title actually says it all. I've been doing my tax returns myself with Elster for years, but there are a few changes coming to our family in the next few months, such as buying a house, renting an apartment and possibly fulfilling my dream of a small holiday apartment in Italy. I've already looked at the programs at various adult education centers in the area, but there are no such offers there. submitted by /u/florapalmtree [link] [comments]

Did I miss something?

Hello everyone, I'm asking about your swarm intelligence. The pension value per earnings point has increased from 6.34 DM to 42.52 euros from 1960 to today. This corresponds to an annual return of approximately 4.2 percent. In addition, the average length of pension receipt has doubled from 10 to 20 years between 1960 and today. How much does this increase the return again? Unfortunately, the AI wasn't very helpful. I guess, all in all, the return on a salary point is from 1960 to today
