What are your thoughts on AI bubble, is it real or not?

- What is your opinion on the AI bubble? - If AI is really a bubble, why hasn't it burst already, especially after many of the industry's challenges and limitations became widely known? - Why does the market continue to invest so heavily in it? -:Do you think these massive investments will ultimately be justified? - For example, data centers may remain useful for many years, but what about the hardware and equipment inside them? - Will they generate enough profit before they need to be replaced

How China is working to turn Saishiteng Mountain into the world’s largest astronomy base

Construction on the Tibetan plateau of some of the Earth’s most powerful optical telescopes is putting China on track to house the world’s biggest astronomy base by the mid-2030s, according to project scientists. How my parents introduced us to finances with a piece of paper in the kitchen cupboard

Inspired by today's post by u/Cute-Voice-4710 [here] on the topic of children's savings accounts, I wanted to briefly share how my parents introduced us to the topic of finance and saving. We basically had two building blocks. The first was quite classic: My parents always saved for us children, back then in fixed-term deposits. Money from relatives for occasions such as communion and confirmation also flowed into these savings accounts. It was there and was created for us. The much more important building

Payment break due to pregnancy

My partner and I would like to have a third child. However, we are paying off a not-so-low home loan. In order for further parental leave to be financially feasible, we would have to pause paying the monthly installment for around 8 months. Since I am a civil servant for life and receive a family allowance, I would earn significantly more after the installment break with three children than before, which means we could easily compensate for the installment break with higher installments. What are experiences?

How China is turning historic African slave port into waterfront tourism destination

In Benin’s southern Atlantic coastal town of Ouidah, located about 40km (25 miles) west of the economic capital of Cotonou, China is turning a former slave trade hub into a busy tourist destination. The historic port once saw nearly 2 million enslaved Africans marched along the 2km “Slave Route” from the auction plaza to the beach during the transatlantic slave trade. On the shore, captives were passed through the “Gate of No Return”, with a monumental memorial arch now standing at the exact...
