ETF Spreads Vanguard A2PKXG vs. Xtrackers DBX0YG at EIX in comparison

The motivation to look at the Xtrackers fund was the lower annual fee compared to the popular Vanguard A2PKXG. Here I provide you with a snapshot of the spread on the EIX exchange, which is not generally valid. I first look at the value of money divided by ask, the higher this value is, the better for the customer, as you get more of your money back in € if you sell the share again after buying the ETF. Time: Tuesday 10:30 Exchange EIX Behaves

AI is creating a new gold rush. Companies are investing heavily in the energy sector. AIPO ETF?

Is investing in ETF like Aipo ( Defiance AI & Power Infrastructure) smart move? Due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence, companies across a wide range of industries from tech giants to automakers are rapidly expanding into the energy sector. The race for electricity, which has become a critical resource for AI technologies, has turned into a modern-day gold rush, creating enormous financial value but also significant risks if demand cannot be met, Axios reports. Disclaimer: IMMO / CREDIT fits equally well as a flair, but I had to decide. Hello everyone, I'm currently at a mental crossroads regarding two investments I acquired in 2023 and I just need to get in touch/get advice about investment doubts from someone who has been playing the game for a while. I am 27 years old. young career starter with a good salary realized a little late that my daily money & current account was at the latest from 70k in terms of effective purchasing power thanks to inflation in front of my working eyes

Are ESG ETFs peace of mind or impact?

When I buy an MSCI World ESG or SRI, I am trading stocks on the secondary market. The company doesn't get a cent from it. I minimally increase the share price of "good" companies and minimally decrease that of "bad" companies - the effect cannot be empirically proven. If you really want influence, you have to vote at general meetings. BlackRock has put more pressure on companies with a letter than all ESG ETF buyers combined. Counter-thesis: Maybe that's not the point. Send ESG ETFs

If IRS makes ruling on BOXX will the ETF's price drop?

Right now BOXX ETF is operating in a gray area to reclassify short term capital gains into long term capital gains. If the IRS makes a ruling disqualifying the treatment of gains on BOXX as long term capital gains and recategorizes the gains to short term capital gains at either the fund or investor level, I think it's safe to assume overnight the fund would be sold heavily and AUM would drop drastically. If the AUM drops sharply, would the price of the ETF drop at all? Or would bid ask spread w

70k€ cracked, 27m

Hello everyone, I was lucky enough that my father bought stocks for me when I was little. Then they went well. About 1.5 months ago I switched everything (46k) to mostly NASDAQ 3x daily and world ETFs and have made almost 50% returns since then. I also used the scalable credit (10k). I'm M27 and am at the end of my bachelor's degree in computer science. I use a simple strategy with the leveraged ETF (sell everything if below 200SMA, sell everything if above 200SMA

Costs for a depository account too high at Volksbank Raiffeisenbank?

Hello. I am new to finance and would like to gain experience with a portfolio. Slowly approach ETFs, possibly individual stocks at some point. My house bank offers me a deposit with the following key data: - Costs per purchase/sale: 0.3%, but at least €9.95 - Basic fee for the deposit per quarter: 0.1% of the deposit value, but at least €9.95 My question: Is that expensive or too expensive? Are there other providers that are better here? Thanks. submitted by /u/Due-Sandwich-5019 [link] [comments]

21M, ETF advise needed

Hello everyone. I'm 21M, started investing in ETFs about a year ago. Currently I'm investing €750 every month in: WEBN - World (77%) EIMI - Emerging Markets (13%) IUSN - Small Cap (10%) Then, on the side, ca. €5k emergency fund in savings account (ca 4% interest). Also sometimes I buy some stocks, nothing serious, max €50/month. Main concerns: is this good or would it be better to just stick to 100% World? Is the emergency fund ok? Too much, Too few, better alternatives? Am I wasting money on th

Should I Add a Small-Cap ETF or Wait for Vanguard’s Global All Cap ETF?

Hi everyone, I’m currently invested in a single ETF, an all-world fund, and I’ve recently crossed the £10,000 mark. I was wondering whether it would make sense to add a small-cap ETF, as my current fund only includes large- and mid-cap companies. I also remember seeing that Vanguard is planning to launch a Global All Cap ETF. Would it be worth waiting for that, then selling my current holding and moving everything into the new fund instead? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts and opinions on

Current stock investments? (No AI/Semiconductor)

Hello, I sold half of my semiconductor ETFs today because I'm starting to not trust all the AI nonsense anymore. Now I have €2000 (600 of which is profit) available to reinvest. Unfortunately, all the ETFs I had in mind are totally inflated precisely because of the semiconductors. Therefore, I am looking for other promising opportunities (3-4 different stocks/ETFs) that may be in the pharmaceutical or energy sectors etc. to invest in. For tips, suggestions

There are 35k in the savings account - park more sensibly but still remain flexible?

I have around €35,000 in a savings account that produces practically nothing. I'm barely familiar with stocks/ETFs and am looking for a simple, low-risk way to park the money more sensibly without completely losing flexibility. I probably won't need it in the short term, but I'd like to be able to get it in an emergency. What would you recommend: overnight money, money market ETF, division into emergency funds + remainder, or something else? submitted by /u/TheIndernet [link] [comments]

used to dread rebalancing day, now it runs overnight

About $47k taxable (6 stocks, 2 ETFs), 401k with target date fund, Roth at 80/20 VTI/VXUS. Rebalancing used to take a full afternoon every quarter because of the tax lots in taxable. Few weeks back I set up a small job on a cloud machine. Pulls holdings, runs drift calcs, spits out trades with estimated tax impact. Runs overnight. The thing that got me: it sorts every lot by holding period and builds the sell list clearing long term gains first. Flagged one lot that was 3 days from crossing one

How are covered call ETFs taxed in an inherited IRA?

I am (unfortunately) in the situation where I received an IRA. It’s not applicable for me to roll it over into my retirement accounts. I do not have to take mandatory yearly distributions (since it was not being withdrawn from yet) but I will have to empty the account in 10 years and any withdrawals will be taxed as regular income (as told to me by the on boarding representative from Fidelity). So I was wondering, how will it work out if someone invested in SPYI, QQQI, GPIX, GPIQ, ROCQ or ROCY a

Father sends me €5000 I have no idea about finances. What is the best way to do this?

EDIT: Thanks for the tips! Seems like daily money accounts are the best choice. But MSCI ETF's were also mentioned a few times, which is why I'll read the thread again and find out more. EDIT 2: A few people have written that I haven't written enough about my situation. I'm studying to be a teacher in Munich and am currently halfway through my studies, but I'm probably planning to extend it for an additional bachelor's degree. Primarily I just want the money

Leveraged NASDAQ - Alternatives?

Part of my savings plan is currently going into Amundi's 2x leveraged NASDAQ as a little "fun gamble". It's been going great so far. Regardless of the extent of the actual impact (which has already been sufficiently discussed in the other threads), I no longer feel like doing it with the rules changed for SpaceX. Does anyone have a recommendation for a similar 2x leveraged ETF that can be used to bet on the tech sector without being so blatantly scammed? submitted by /u/E

A classification on MSCI dilution fears over SPCX. What's it?

There are already confirmed fast-track inclusion reports in the MSCI World, and special rules have been changed for this purpose, e.g. here: https://www.cash.ch/news/top-news/msci-chef-spacex-winkt-nach-borsengang-schnelle-aufnahme-in-indizes-941343 But does this dilute the ETF, as feared? Let's imagine: the iShares Core MSCI World has a capitalization of all included companies of around $90 (European) trillion [see edit]. Musk has “only” promised 5% for the public market
