The Bavarian state parliament has voted on a motion that was submitted for a roll-call vote by the AfD parliamentary group. In the application, the AfD parliamentary group calls for the existing rules banning the use of gender-sensitive language in schools to be tightened. In the future, gender-sensitive language such as the use of special characters or internal I should not only be marked as an error, but should also be punished with point deductions. The application was rejected with 117 votes against. 26 MPs from the AfD parliamentary group voted yes. There was no abstention.
