Retention of the secondary school certificate (application for change)

A bill by the state government to change the school law was introduced in the state parliament. There were several amendments and motions for resolutions. A roll call vote was taken on a sub-item of the amendment proposed by the FDP/DVP parliamentary group. This requires the retention of the industrial school certificate. Instead, the equivalence of the industrial school certificate with intermediate school leaving certificate should be emphasized more clearly. The amendment was defeated by 83 votes. 33 MPs voted against it, there were 25 abstentions, six of them from the CDU parliamentary group.
