Security for Bavaria's population
After the fatal knife attack in Aschaffenburg, the Alliance 90/The Greens parliamentary group submitted an urgent motion to the Bavarian state parliament. In it, she calls for a complete clarification of where state authorities made mistakes in preventing the crime. In addition, immediate measures should be taken to increase internal security. This includes, among other things, the establishment of a new risk category for unstable, violent people, which will be connected to an early warning system. The exchange of information between the police, immigration authorities and the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) is to be intensified. In addition, improved psychosocial treatment for refugees should be ensured. The application was rejected with 119 votes against. 41 MPs from the Alliance 90/The Greens and SPD factions voted yes. There were no abstentions. Further emergency motions regarding the attack in Aschaffenburg were voted on by name in the Bavarian state parliament.
