Abolition of the gas storage levy and resumption of cheap gas imports
The Bavarian state parliament has voted on an emergency motion that was submitted for a roll-call vote by the AfD parliamentary group. In its motion, the AfD parliamentary group calls for sanctions imposed against Russia to be lifted immediately in the interest of the Bavarian economy in the event of peace in Ukraine. The state government should work towards this at the federal and EU levels. In addition, a decision will be made to resume cheap gas deliveries from Russia via all possible supply lines. The destroyed Nord Stream pipeline should also be repaired. The gas storage levy should also be lifted immediately after peace is concluded. The application was rejected with 105 votes against. 25 MPs from the AfD parliamentary group voted yes. There was no abstention.
