Driving licenses for members of the volunteer fire departments

In its application, the CDU parliamentary group calls on the state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania to make funds available for the years 2025, 2026 and 2027 to support members of the volunteer fire department in obtaining a driving license for vehicles over 7.5 tons. This is necessary so that enough volunteer firefighters are allowed to drive the fire engines that have been purchased. The motion was rejected by 28 votes in favor to 39 against. There were three abstentions from the FDP ranks. Contrary to her party colleagues, Barbara Becker-Hornickel spoke out in favor of the CDU's proposal.
