◇ Essential content
In a joint motion, the parliamentary groups of Alliance 90/The Greens, CDU and FDP are calling on Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig to create comprehensive transparency about the circumstances of the “Climate and Environmental Protection MV Foundation” in order to restore lost trust in its credibility. The application formulates several allegations regarding Russian influence. The idea to establish the foundation came from Nord Stream 2 AG and not from the state government. Statements made by the company's former CEO in the Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry are in direct contradiction to statements made by the Prime Minister. The motion was rejected by 28 votes in favor to 38 against. There was no abstention.
