Reverse CO2 pricing

In the Bavarian state parliament, a motion from the AfD parliamentary group was rejected, which was directed against CO₂ pricing at federal and EU levels. According to the applicants, the state government should work to withdraw existing regulations on CO₂ pricing. The AfD justified its initiative by saying that CO₂ pricing would lead to higher costs for energy, heating and mobility, thereby putting a burden on private households and companies. According to the group, this affects the competitiveness of the economy and leads to rising costs of living. The motion was rejected with 112 votes against. 24 MPs voted in favor and there were no abstentions.
