Amendment to police law passed: State parliament enables massive surveillance in Saxony

Saxony's Interior Minister Armin Schuster (CDU) campaigned for the amendment in the state parliament today. The Saxon state parliament today significantly tightened its police law. Although civil society expressed clear criticism, members of the CDU, SPD and BSW voted for a massive expansion of surveillance measures in the Free State.
