At the inauguration of the memorial in Berlin's Tiergarten, Bundestag President Julia Klöckner honored the resistance of Jehovah's Witnesses during the National Socialist dictatorship, for which members of the religious community had to pay a high price. They were among the first groups to be persecuted in the Third Reich.
