The Art Advisory Board of the German Bundestag, under the leadership and at the suggestion of Bundestag President Julia Klöckner, decided to appoint Dr. Sabine Bergmann-Pohl will be honored with a portrait in the Gallery of the Presidents of the German Bundestag. In 1990, Sabine Bergmann-Pohl was President of the 10th People's Chamber of the GDR, the only freely elected parliament in the GDR. Under her leadership, the People's Chamber created the parliamentary conditions for German unity in just 180 days
