Why there’s no point in signing a fourth China-US communique

Despite recent signs that US-China ties are stabilising, veteran China watcher Li Cheng argues that the two superpowers should not rush to sign a new joint communique, suggesting this would add little value as Washington is not upholding its previous commitments. The recent summit between President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Donald Trump produced a “dramatic change” in the countries’ relationship, Li said in an interview published by Chinese news website Guancha.cn. “From viewing each...

Are there any pro investment arguments for Spacex

Patrik has explained it very well why spacex and companies related to musk are a mess https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHD8BDFYyGI But given that nasdaq has bent its rules for spacex and for the likes of anthropic, openai etc. I was wondering are there any bullish arguments for Spacex? Sure nothing comes close to them as of now. But at one point Tesla was the same and thanks to musk it is getting slaughtered in terms of sales in the EU and Asia, its share price tells a different story I know. Mus

China’s drug regulator clears wave of home-grown innovative medicines amid biotech boom

Home-grown innovative drugs make up most of the medicines China’s drug regulator has approved for sale so far this year, underscoring the country’s biotech boom. Of the 19 innovative drugs cleared by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), 15 came from domestic companies, according to the regulator’s website as of May 21. These include sonrotoclax, developed by global biopharmaceutical firm BeOne, for treating certain adult blood cancers. The regulator overhauled its approval...

Former Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte will face a crimes against humanity trial at the International Criminal Court from November 30, the presiding judge said on Wednesday. How did you find your house? Feels like nothing useful on Immoscout & Classifieds

Hi everyone, I'm 27, work in the public sector in a city with a population of ~50k in West Germany and would like to buy a house in the next few years. Equity is available, financing should generally be feasible. My problem is more: it feels like almost nothing but junk or completely overpriced items end up online. Mostly completely ripped off for absurd money, nothing renovated in the last 40 years. 30-year-old oil heaters, energy efficiency class H, cost €400

Heads up: The DOL is trying to make it easier to push Private Equity into 401ks. Comment deadline is June 1st.

I haven't seen anyone talking about this here yet, but the Department of Labor has a proposed rule out right now (Docket EBSA-2026-0166-0001) that basically gives 401k plan managers a legal "safe harbor" shield if they choose to dump private equity or private credit into target date funds and default plan lineupsFiduciary Duties In Selecting Designated Investment Alternatives - Regulations.gov. AI massive industrial revolution or massive bubble?

A statistic (from Harvard) that is concerning me is that 4% of Americas GDP is 'digital services' but consists 92% of American GDP growth. Basically US growth is stagnate apart from AI, and that looks more like a massive Ponzi scheme at the moment. Looking at my portfolio breakdown, I definitely am getting all my growth from tech stocks, biggest is 5.4% in Space X (all funds, as British, I use investment trusts). So what are opinions here, for and against riding this AI wave? Revolutionary or Po
