China Eases Order for Teapot Refiners to Keep Fuel Output High

China has allowed some independent refiners to reduce processing rates amid mounting losses as Chinese crude and fuel stockpiles remain comfortably high despite the Middle East crisis. In the early weeks of the Iran war and the inability of Middle Eastern exporters to ship crude through the Strait of Hormuz, Chinese authorities directed the private refiners, the so-called teapots, to maintain high levels of gasoline and diesel supply, even at a loss, or risk their crude import quotas slashed if

I just read it and haven't really had a chance to mull it over. It seems exchange stocks are tumbling as a result of all of this, despite the all three major indexes remainin

32M, 100k cracked, slightly different...

My learning curve was a roller coaster. I started investing thinking that, contrary to common wisdom, I could beat the market with trading. When I was a bit in the black, it wasn't fast enough for me and KO certificates with MSW leverage seemed to be the solution, including revenge leverage. Well, I think you can see the result quite well... read books from Finanztip and Finanzfluss and started saving. I stubbornly paid into my ETF savings plans, but then the Ora came

Russia Weighs $50 Million Plan to Influence Armenia’s Election

Russia has mulled an extraordinary measure of exporting humans to Armenia in an effort to undermine Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s chances of retaining power in the fast-approaching parliamentary elections on June 7, according to an investigative report published by the Reuters news agency. Despite the Kremlin’s best efforts to manipulate the election’s outcome, recent polling data shows that Pashinyan’s Civil Contract Party is pulling away from a collection of opposition forces and appears in

Trump taps housing regulator Bill Pulte as acting intelligence chief

US President Donald Trump has named federal housing regulator Bill Pulte as acting director of national intelligence, entrusting oversight of America’s intelligence agencies to a close political ally whose career has been rooted in housing finance rather than national security. Trump announced the appointment on Tuesday, saying Pulte would replace Tulsi Gabbard, who stepped down last month after citing her husband’s cancer diagnosis. The move places the 38-year-old director of the Federal...

Iraq, UAE, Saudi Arabia All Set for Major Oil Output Surge in 2027

Most oil producers in the Middle East will see their crude oil production surge by double-digit percentages next year, rebounding from this year's shut-ins due to the Iran war and the closed Strait of Hormuz. OPEC's second-largest oil producer, Iraq, which was the first to slash output in the wake of the shipping disruption, is set to see the biggest percentage jump in production in 2027, at 34.1%, BMI, a unit of Fitch Solutions, said in a report carried by Malaysia's outlet New Straits Times. Ceasefire Uncertainty Remains the Biggest Driver for Oil Markets

Iran is reviewing the latest U.S. ceasefire proposal, raising hopes of a truce extension and tempering oil prices as traders weigh the risk of renewed Middle East disruptions. Ukraine’s Refinery War Gives Russian Crude an Export Passport - Ukraine is inadvertently pushing increasing amounts of Russian crude into the export markets as Kyiv’s intensified drone strikes on Russia’s downstream assets free up more oil. - Russia’s seaborne exports in 2026 to date have averaged 3.46 million b/d, the hig

Do stocks rise simply because more people have the opportunity to invest?

It sounds like a completely banal or stupid question, but I have the feeling that simply investing through Neobrokers means that a lot more stock volume is traded. Compared to 10/20 years ago, surely there are so many more people in ETFs that this is already having a noticeable effect? Can you even compare today's share prices or key figures with those of 20/30 years ago? Is this a water is wet hypothesis or does the idea make sense? submitted by /u/JonSnowKnowsNothing9
