How Keir Starmer will be replaced as UK PM and will anyone stand against Burnham?

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer conceded on Monday that he had lost the support of his rank-and-file Labour Party members in Parliament and that he will step down once his successor as party leader is chosen, possibly as soon as the middle of July. Andy Burnham, the former mayor of Greater Manchester whose resounding victory in a special UK election last week set in motion Starmer’s resignation, has confirmed he will put himself forward to be his successor. Burnham is seen as the...

Trump criticises UK’s Starmer after PM announces resignation

US President Donald Trump criticised outgoing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Monday after the Labour leader announced he would resign, saying he had “really hurt himself” over energy, immigration and his handling of relations with Washington. “I think he’s a lovely man,” Trump told reporters at an Oval Office event, before accusing Starmer of mishandling Britain’s energy policy by failing to exploit North Sea oil and allowing “windmills all over the place”. “The UK buys much of its...

$LTRN reminding investors about BIO2026 participation tomorrow!

Lantern Pharma just posted a reminder that CEO Panna Sharma will participate in tomorrow’s BIO2026 executive roundtable hosted by Polsinelli. What caught my attention is that management is actively promoting the event instead of quietly attending. At a $50M market cap, Lantern is trying to position itself at the intersection of: Precision oncology AI-driven drug development RADR / withZeta Not suggesting news is coming. But if management believes these platforms are meaningful value drivers, BIO

As Europe rearms, can it decouple its military supply chains from China?

Europe’s defence industry would gradually reduce its reliance on China during the continent’s ongoing rearmament drive, rather than decouple completely, analysts said. On Wednesday, during the Group of Seven summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, the leaders of France, Germany, the UK, Italy, the US, Canada and Japan signed a declaration on securing supply chains for critical minerals. Without naming China, the leaders agreed to “significantly reduce” their dependency on a “single supplier outside..

Frozen Iranian assets could be used to buy US soybeans in ‘classic Trump deal’: Vance

Iran should use funds unlocked by Washington to buy US agricultural products, according to Vice-President J.D. Vance, who said on Monday it would help feed the country’s population while making American farmers richer. Iran has not indicated whether it would accept the terms. Vance credited US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner with the idea, which he described as a “very, very good, and very classic Trump deal”. The White House is seeking export markets outside China ahead of the

What's the deal with that ETF that 3 companies make 52% of it? - IUIT - S&P 500 Capped 35/20 Information Technology

I was looking for some IT ETF and came across IUIT. I was a bit shocked when I checked holdings, top 3 are: NVIDIA Corp. 22.37% Apple 16.84% Microsoft 14.37% What's the deal with that ETF that they decided to go so heavily with those 3 companies? What makes it even more confusing is that Google isn't even in top 10 (was not checking if it's included in that ETF at all). What am I missing here, as so far it is probably the weirdest ETF I saw. Thanks in advance for some clarification. submitted by

What is your goal when investing in stocks/ETFs/others?

I'm basically having an early mid-life crisis. I earn €3000 net and have around 1/3 of this money freely available. The 2/3 includes everything you can plan for (inspection, TÜV, birthday and Christmas presents for your girlfriend, subscriptions, living, etc.) The 1/3 are really “over”. Of the 1000-1100€ I save 200€ a month for vacations, 200€ I give myself for leisure activities (although these usually amount to 100€), 500€ go into an ETF and the rest

Australian public cooling on Trump’s US while thawing on China, survey finds

Australian trust in the United States has hit a record low, while the public mood towards China has warmed for the fourth year in a row, according to a new opinion poll. In an unprecedented shift, 51 per cent of those surveyed said the country’s relationship with China was more important than that with the US, compared with 45 per cent who said America should take priority. Only 31 per cent of those questioned in the Lowy Institute’s annual poll said they trusted the US to act responsibly in the
