The catch with the 3.5% p.a. at Trading212 (?)

Some time ago at Trading212 you got 3.0% p.a. on uninvested balances, now even 3.5%. A deadline, as with current account accounts, was not mentioned. I was already wondering where the catch was - now I think I've found it. To date, my assets have been invested in banks (J.P. Morgan, Helaba). Everything was fine until then because these shares were protected by deposit insurance. But now a new point has emerged. An amount larger than my previous amount

Will slowing car sales in China reignite brutal price war in crowded market?

In the most bearish Chinese car market forecast by an international bank or consultancy, AlixPartners has predicted that deliveries will fall by 10 per cent this year on the back of a shaky economy and softening government support. Weak buying interest was likely to fuel a brutal price war that would ensnare nearly all the country’s 100-odd carmakers, the global consultancy added. It forecast that 24.6 million light vehicles would be delivered by Chinese carmakers this year, with 10 million of..

An airport official earlier said that the Bulgarian company operating the Airbus A320 blamed pilot error. Bulgaria’s transport ministry said, however, in a statement: “The reason for the diversion is a technical failure of the aircraft’s transponder, which transmitted a false signal of unlawful...

The AI Revolution Needs Electricity More Than Intelligence

No generation in human history has experienced an infrastructure buildout of this speed and scale. Over the next several years, trillions of dollars will be poured into what industry leaders increasingly describe as AI factories: sprawling campuses filled with advanced processors, networking equipment, cooling systems, and enough electrical demand to rival major cities. Learning the Ropes as a Defensive Investor

I got a copy of Intelligent Investor. My intent is to learn the defensive investor strategy. I was thinking that pharmaceuticals would be a good place to start. 80-90% in to Mutual Funds will continue indefinitely as I’ll never be an expert. l‘m avoiding tech or volatile stocks as I won’t have the stomach for it. Any suggestions for stocks to analyze? Not what to buy, what to compare for the purpose of learning. submitted by /u/Capable-Grocery686 [link] [comments]

Australia’s Oil and Gas Exploration Set for Renaissance

Oil and gas companies operating in Australia are lining up plans to boost oil and gas exploration as activity picks up amid the energy crisis in the wake of the Iran war. Australia, which has had to cope with a fuel supply crisis since the Middle East conflict began, is one of the world’s top LNG exporters.
