SOXX vs Broad Index Funds

SOXX has had a strong long-term run. Since July 2001, its cumulative NAV total return was about 1,741.9% through April 30, 2026. Over the last 10-year period, SOXX averaged 28.11% annual returns vs with 15.26% for the S&P 500. Semiconductors seem likely to remain a major part of the economy, but SOXX is also much more concentrated than broader funds like VOO or VTI.
