Why doesn't Trade Republic accept a fictitious certificate?

Trade Republic asked me to submit a valid residence permit. However, my current residence permit is about to expire and I have already received a fictitious certificate confirming my legal residence until the immigration authorities decide on the extension. Since the immigration authorities in Germany often need several months to process them, I now ask myself: Do I have to sell all of my shares during this time? Or can I expand my portfolio
