Why is there no revolt over Cum-Ex? Tax increases despite wasting hundreds of billions

I just watched the financial flow interview with the public prosecutor about Cum-Ex: https://www.reddit.com/r/Finanzen/comments/1tlmve7/cumexermittlerin_über_den_Großen_steuerraub/ How the hell do we as citizens actually put up with the fact that further tax increases are even being discussed before the coal is not either fully recovered + the penalty (i.e. twice as much) and/or the people are simply put behind bars. It can't be true that we just think about it
