Is it normal to hold on to this much of a cash position after this extended period of time?

Good evening, I really don't understand the market. I'm trying. I do know that I should be investing.. so that's a good thing right? I currently have about 85k in my brokerage. I have a financial advisor. I noticed on 6-21 I had 238.07 in cash. I understand some moneyn should always be kept in cash. I made a 500 buck deposit on the 22nd. I made another 500 buck deposit on the 29th. It's July 9th and my current cash balance is 1,256.60 The last buy I saw him do was on June 4th. Any activity after
