Need children's investments info

My nephew just set up a UTMA account for his 1 year old son (my grand-nephew)... Since my (only child) son has announced he never intends to get married or have kids, this Grand-Nephew is the closest I'll get to a grandchild... I want to drop a share of (undecided FUND) into this UTMA account, twice a year (birthday and Hanukkah)...
