Liability insurance

I am a 19 year old student and have zero knowledge of insurance. It has come to my attention that it is totally risky and stupid to live without liability, as something can happen at any time that causes massive financial damage. Of course, I'm not asking for professional advice on Reddit. But does anyone know of a recommended liability insurance policy with which I won't go wrong and will finally be covered?
