France's Phare de Cordouan: “Versailles of the Sea”: boat trip to the king of lighthouses

It rises like an apparition out of the Atlantic in southwest France: the Cordouan lighthouse. It is the oldest and most beautiful in the country, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and linked to deep symbolism.
