The richest person in AI (Chen Tianshi) is someone I'd never heard of

The single richest person in AI isn't at OpenAI or Anthropic. It's Chen Tianshi, founder of a Chinese chip company and he's worth ~$40B. It's surprising to me that there's no list of billionaires whose fortune comes primarily from AI. People must be searching online for and AI billionaires list? Maybe it's just me, but I wanted to share net-worth estimates for the richest AI billionaires, specifically because I saw a name I'd never heard of at the top of the list. Chen Tianshi holds a 28.4% dire

Intel, AI, neuromorphic computing, and you

In 15-20 years, Intel will likely be the highest valued company in the world. Hear me out 1) AI isn't going anywhere. It is being widely adopted in many industries and is only improving in sophistication and application areas. This trend will only continue. We have been here before with the Internet, I remember the skepticism about the Internet being a fad and having little use for regular people very well 2) AI data centers are unsustainable. We all know this. The problem is that our convention

What kind of AI Workflows have you built for investing that you see as successful?

Has anyone else built AI workflows for their investing process? I'm curious how you've approached it? How has it transformed your process? I started building mine a few months ago. I manage a pretty large personal portfolio driven by long time cash flows & sale value from my now exited tech company. Here's what I did: - I used Codex to write the code - I am syncing multiple tools I already pay for as a user, and I had to pay for one additional tool to pull in accurate data. - I approached it wit

Are Guys also tired of generic AI giving you absolute diabolical wrong answers about your 10K??

So as you can read from the Header that AI is now everybody's go to tool to get through 10-K and so every time I do this I always reverify the data and questions I asked because let's be honest AI is good but not perfect and it does hallucinates numbers pretty much once I started noticing it is quite obvious so I ask it to give me the citations and then the page number is incorrect or the paragraph is off or the AI just couldn't corelate data and don't get me started on the tables part. Thailand says photo of Macron kneeling before King Vajiralongkorn is AI-generated

Thailand’s foreign ministry denied on Thursday that French President Emmanuel Macron knelt before the country’s king during his state visit to Paris this week, after an AI-generated picture circulated online. King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida’s trip was the first official visit by a Thai monarch to France since 1960, marking the 170th anniversary of formal diplomatic relations between the two nations. During a state dinner at the presidential palace, Macron presented the 73-year-old...

SaaS sector fell below market valuation for the first time on record. Breaking down which names are actually cheap vs. just lower priced.

Hi r/investing, I'm the GM of the stock research side at Obermatt, a Swiss investment research firm that ranks stocks across 60+ markets on four factors (Value, Growth, Safety, Sentiment) relative to industry peers. Standard disclosure: this is our own research, sharing it here because I think the framework is useful for this community, not to sell anything. The AI-driven selloff pushed the entire SaaS sector below the broad market on forward earnings for the first time on record. That's a meani

China AI drug-design deals swell as US scrutiny mounts

Riding a wave of booming cross-border dealmaking, China’s AI-driven drug-design firms are charging onto the global stage despite Washington’s growing scrutiny of Chinese biotech firms. The value of out-licensing deals struck by Chinese biotech companies with top global multinational pharmaceutical companies climbed to US$75 billion in the first five months of 2026, up from zero before 2020, according to Linda Shu, head of China healthcare research at HSBC. In total, over the five months, these..

AI Boom Drives Record Surge in Battery Demand

Battery demand has soared in recent months as developers of data centers and AI computing are increasingly relying on battery energy storage to manage power surges, executives at battery start-ups have told the Financial Times. For example, U.S.-based sodium-ion battery start-up Alsym Energy, backed by investments from India’s Tata Group, has seen demand surge this year, as developers want energy storage to support their operations at times of extreme power fluctuations. “Battery has become an e

EU Bows to Tech Lobby, Drops Ten-Year Renewables Rule for Data Centers

The European Union has given in to pressure from Big Tech to water down its strict low-carbon energy requirements in order to pursue its AI agenda as the U.S. and China pull far ahead and the EU plays catchup. Citing a draft document released this week, the Financial Times reported today the EU would reconsider an earlier idea to only allow Big Tech data center operators offset the emissions of their baseload power suppliers by buying certificates from wind and solar operators, but only of facil
