Mods fix your bots, I want to talk about the AI and supposed Index fund bubble but AI mod shuts me down.

Mods fix your bots, I tried to post something I worked hard on and wrote myself but the moderation bot thinks its AI. I just spent hours of research and a day of thinking and writing only for the annoying Moderation bot to think AI did it... fix your ignorant moderation bot please super annoying. I need to keep typing because apparently if the post is below 250 characters the mod bots will also nuke the post. I cant even report a problem with the auto moderator without the auto moderator nuking

Ouster ($OUST) - Poised to capture the "physical AI" layer

Ouster (OUST), a US company I've been heavily invested in and following for the last year. I believe they have the ability to capture the "physical AI" layer. The thesis is that AI will diversify from screens and into the real world (robots, drones, warehouses, factories, vehicles, infrastructure, security systems, etc.). All of these need to understand their physical surroundings, and while a camera can show what something looks like, lidar shows where things are in 3D (distance, shape, movemen

Shitpost question: Are the upcoming IPO’s for AI ‘frontier’ companies a rug pull?

Specifically talking about OpenAI, Anthropic and SpaceX. I think early backers and VCs want their money back now before a potential AI bubble burst. SpaceX has a ridiculous valuation, OpenAI wants to churn through 600 billion before it’s profitable and recent reports are coming out that the cost of using Claude vastly exceeds that of human capital with the token churn rate being what it is. I think there is a bubble, and the maths doesn’t add up, whilst AI compute costs will eventually fall, the

Asia faces ‘costly paradox’ over divergent AI rules in US and EU

Asian technology firms are facing a “costly paradox” as they try to navigate an increasingly uneven global AI rule book, with divergent compliance requirements in the European Union and the United States threatening to blunt their competitive edge. Analysts say the challenge is acute for Asian companies. While the EU has a single, comprehensive and legally binding artificial intelligence framework based on the landmark EU AI Act, US technology-related laws are decentralised at the state...

Uber president says AI spending is getting ‘harder to justify’

After reportedly exhausting its annual AI budget just four months into 2026, Uber is now questioning whether it’s actually seeing meaningful returns on its investments. In an interview with Rapid Response, Uber president and chief operating officer Andrew Macdonald said the company isn’t seeing a connection between rising token consumption for Claude Code and more useful features being delivered to consumers. ... “We’re going to have to start talking about [AI] token consumption and the associat

Anthropic’s rumored $900B IPO: Is the AI hype justifiable?

With rumors swirling about Anthropic eyeing a $900B IPO, it’s worth asking whether the AI sector’s growth justifies such a lofty valuation. The article breaks down potential risks like regulatory scrutiny, competition from incumbents like Google and Microsoft, and whether the market can sustain another mega-IPO after recent volatility. For those considering jumping in, what’s your take on Anthropic’s long-term prospects compared to its peers? Are we in another bubble, or is this a calculated bet

Future Tech Still Needs Old-School Metals. How Are People Thinking About Copper Exposure?

The more I look at AI infrastructure, grid upgrades, defense spending and electrification, the harder it is to ignore the metals side of the trade. Data centers need power cables, transformers, switchgear, busbars, substations, cooling systems and grid connections. Defense systems, robotics, EVs and renewables add more demand on top. Copper is the obvious volume metal in that stack, while silver, rare earths, gallium and germanium show up in more specialized parts of the supply chain. The part I

Films generated by ByteDance’s AI technology made headlines at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, as the TikTok owner accelerates efforts to commercialise its flagship Seedance 2.0 model. Two short films, The Golden Tomb Seeker and Series Tower, created by Chinese platform Chushou AI using Seedance 2.0, were among 21 works selected from more than 1,000 submissions spanning 120 countries at Marché du Film, the business hub of the festival. Pope calls for ‘disarming’ of AI, technology should be ‘human friendly’

Pope Leo called for the “disarming” of artificial intelligence in his long-awaited manifesto on the rapidly developing technology on Monday, and warned of “new forms of slavery” behind its rise. The “just war” theory – espoused recently by the Trump administration – was “outdated”, Pope Leo XIV wrote in his first encyclical, which he presented in person at the Vatican, alongside AI experts including the co-founder of US giant Anthropic. The first US pope, who has clashed with the White House...
