Assignment doesn't mean you lost. a framework for deciding what to do the morning after

Every time I get assigned shares from a CSP, I see some version of "well that trade failed" in my head before I catch myself. It didn't fail. it did exactly what a cash-secured put is supposed to do. But the emotional reaction is real, and it tends to produce bad decisions if you act on it before thinking it through. Here's the actual decision tree I use the morning after assignment, for what it's worth: First question: do I still want to own this stock at this cost basis? Not "do I want to own

Could AI algorithms hold China’s solution for global narrative on Tibet?

To win the global war of words over Tibet, China’s western autonomous region that repeatedly makes international headlines, Beijing must stop fighting the West’s algorithms and start adapting to them. That was the blunt assessment of Zachary Lundquist, an American media professional with the state-run China International Communications Group (CICG), speaking in Lhasa, capital of China’s Tibetan autonomous region, on Tuesday. Lundquist – better known by his Chinese name, Huang Hao – was...

How to best replenish emergency fund?

Hi all, I have an emergency fund of around 30k (6 times my monthly income) but will need to use 3 to 4K for necessary expenses on the roof of my property. At the moment, I save monthly about 200€ in my emergency fund, 200€ for travels and I invest 500€ monthly in an ETF. What would be the most efficient way to replenish the emergency fund? Do I prioritise it and stop investing until it is back at 30k? Do I make a split? I don’t have much room to save/invest more atm because of a big mortgage… In

With rising revenues and a falling evaluation, is Adobe about to have an insane up or is something deeper going on? The bears took over because if Gemini Nanobana can generate a high-quality image in seconds, and Sora can produce videos on demand, what exactly is Photoshop for? Additionally, ADBE hasn't always been the cleanest and most honest when it came to pricing. They have a history of locking users into annual contracts with pain
