Is that income? Alternative pension equalization payment

I'm asking for a friend who doesn't have Reddit: She's divorcing a foreigner who isn't in the German pension system. You do, but you don't know your way around here. There is therefore no normal pension point sharing pension equalization. They therefore entered into a private agreement. He pays her a monthly amount for 5 years, which she is supposed to invest in her own precautions. Does this amount have to be taxed? Does this count as income? What kind of product/system would be there?

Optimization of confectionery costs through application arbitrage

Hello r/Finance, as part of my efforts to further reduce food costs, I have identified an interesting arbitrage opportunity. Regardless of the outcome of the application process, Würth Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG will send a pack of gummy bears as a small gift. According to what I know so far, the actual qualification doesn't matter. Even if you are a chef, you can easily apply to become an electronics engineer and initially receive the same amount

When Will Gasoline Prices Return to Pre-War Levels?

Gasoline prices have started to fall, and that is welcome news for drivers. After months of pain at the pump following the war with Iran and the disruption of traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, even modest relief is noticeable. But falling from crisis levels is not the same thing as returning to normal. That distinction may define the next several months in the oil market. The developing U.S.-Iran agreement has given traders a reason to mark down crude prices. Markets are forward-looking, and

How can a person coming from a sanctioned country invest for their retirement abroad?

I realize this may be a difficult question without further details, but I'm hoping someone with experience in cross-border investing or changing residency status might be able to share some insights. How are long-term investment accounts typically affected when an investor's legal residence status changes? For example, if someone is investing through a brokerage in their country of residence and later loses the right to reside there (due to a job change, visa expiration, relocation, etc.), what

DKB When it comes down to it, useless.

Long-time DKB customer because of the conditions for withdrawing abroad and exchange rates in non-EU countries. Situation: Traveling for several months in Southeast Asia. Current account with DKB, DKB debit card, DKB credit card. I blocked my DKB credit card last week (Thursday) because it was skimmed (test withdrawal went through, I then blocked the card and tried to withdraw more. So good so good, it happened..) Iran agrees to invite IAEA inspectors back, says US

Tehran has agreed to invite International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors back into the country, US Vice-President J.D. Frozen Iranian assets could be used to buy US soybeans in ‘classic Trump deal’: Vance

Iran should use funds unlocked by Washington to buy US agricultural products, according to Vice-President J.D. Vance, who said on Monday it would help feed the country’s population while making American farmers richer. Iran has not indicated whether it would accept the terms. Vance credited US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner with the idea, which he described as a “very, very good, and very classic Trump deal”. The White House is seeking export markets outside China ahead of the

Hong Kong cockatoos could help save Indonesia’s endangered species, study shows

Hong Kong’s wild yellow-crested cockatoos may hold genetic traits that could help save the critically endangered species in Indonesia, a study has found. The study, published in the Evolutionary Applications journal in May, underscored the importance of conserving the city’s cockatoo population. Lead author Astrid Andersson from the University of Hong Kong’s school of biological sciences described these birds as a “backup”, preserving lineages of subspecies that may no longer exist in the...

What's the deal with that ETF that 3 companies make 52% of it? - IUIT - S&P 500 Capped 35/20 Information Technology

I was looking for some IT ETF and came across IUIT. I was a bit shocked when I checked holdings, top 3 are: NVIDIA Corp. 22.37% Apple 16.84% Microsoft 14.37% What's the deal with that ETF that they decided to go so heavily with those 3 companies? What makes it even more confusing is that Google isn't even in top 10 (was not checking if it's included in that ETF at all). What am I missing here, as so far it is probably the weirdest ETF I saw. Thanks in advance for some clarification. submitted by
