What is the percentage split in your cash account at TR between overnight money and liquidity funds?

Last month I finally started moving most of my money from my local bank's money market account to my TR cash account. I got less than 0.6% interest from my bank, so it made sense for a long time. There is now a medium 5-digit amount in TR's cash account and gives me a lot more interest. I was aware in advance that with TR not all of the money was stored safely at a partner bank, but parts were also stored in a liquidity facility

America Bets $50 Billion on Coal and Gas Power as Electricity Demand Soars

U.S. companies are set to spend some $50 billion on power generation from coal and natural gas this year, the International Energy Agency has said, as quoted by the Financial Times. This would be the first time in decades that U.S. spending on coal and gas generation would be higher than what China is investing in the two fuels, with the difference at $3 billion. The surge in spending will come mostly from much stronger demand for gas turbines amid a data center boom in the United States, the FT

CAT ripping to astronomical numbers on the AI story, anyone else think this is getting ahead of itself?

Been watching Caterpillar run hard the last few months and wanted to get some other eyes on this before I size up a position. Stock's at $1,050 now, up something like 50%+ this year. The whole move is being driven by the idea that CAT isn't really a cyclical machinery company anymore, it's an AI infrastructure play because their power and energy segment sells generators and turbines to hyperscalers building data centers. Got reclassified out of the Russell value/defensive indices and into the Ru

Financial flow app, manual ETF bookings

Hey everyone, I'm having a little problem with the Financial Flow app. I enter my data manually and everything works so far. Unfortunately, I have the problem with ETFs that my clearing account is not displayed correctly. I've now gone through all the data records/bookings I've entered, but the clearing account isn't shown to me in the amount it should be. Money deposits from the checking account into the clearing account run as a “deposit”, distributions from the

Himalayan pass reopens as ‘goodwill’ gesture in China-India thaw

China and India resumed cross-border trade through the Lipulekh Pass in the Himalayas last week in the latest sign of a cautious rapprochement between the two countries. The reopening of the pass near the contested India-China-Nepal border after six years came shortly after Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to New Delhi. It was described by analysts as a goodwill gesture from Beijing, but they warned that the long-standing border dispute and strategic rivalry would continue to weigh on...

Do you verify the answers of the AI about the 10K? if you do then what's the point of giving it to AI?

Not asking whether to use AI for this everyone already does, myself included(after getting advice from you guyz) . Running a filing through an AI model and asking specific questions is indeed faster than reading 100+ pages, and at this point it's basically the default workflow for a lot of retail investors that I learnt here. What I haven't figured out is the verification step. If it tells me a company's debt covenant trips at a 1.2x coverage ratio, I'm trusting that's accurate unless I go open

Friedrich Merz complains about sick leave. Why a lack of school infrastructure costs us billions every year

Hi everyone, I'm currently lying down in the middle of summer with a cold that my daughter brought in from school. While Friedrich Merz complains about the "high levels of absenteeism" and blames the sick leave over the phone, politicians and municipalities completely ignore the fact that our daycare centers and schools, as virus incubators, are the actual epicenter of the problem. I've done the math. The state saves on destroying the infrastructure and thereby wastes money on others
