Thousands of Iranians left without water in searing heat after US hits reservoirs

Thousands of Iranians in the southern port town of Sirik have lost access to drinking water after US strikes hit two reservoirs in the area, Iranian state media said on Wednesday. The United States carried out strikes on the southern cities of Jask and Sirik and on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz, after what Washington said was Iran’s downing of a US Army Apache helicopter over Gulf waters. The strikes damaged two reservoirs supplying the Bemani and Kouhestak areas of Sirik...

Stock ticker for rookies

Hello swarm intelligence, I recently had too much time on my hands and designed something. All the websites were always far too confusing for me and filled with advertising. In general, I wanted something simplified and didn't always have to click through 100 stock exchanges and tickers. If anyone has any added value with this, have fun! 😄 You are also welcome to express your wishes, then I can install it relatively quickly with Ai (because I do it promptly, hehe). Chinese pharmaceutical firms’ cost advantages trump Pentagon blacklist: analysts

The Pentagon added Chinese pharmaceutical contractor WuXi AppTec to a list of entities it alleges are linked to the country’s military, but the blacklisting will not stop multinational drug makers from collaborating with China’s biopharmaceutical firms, according to analysts. “We view minimal impact given multinational [companies] in pharma still prefer made-in-China for cost efficiency,” said Cui Cui, head of healthcare research for Asia at Jefferies. “Meanwhile, Wuxi AppTec earnings visibility

Nuclear and Natural Gas Are Teaming Up to Power the AI Data Center Boom

Data centers are placing unprecedented strain on electric grids across the country and across the world as the rapid integration of artificial intelligence into virtually every market sector unleashes an energy monster that we are woefully unprepared to feed. Meeting projected demand growth in coming months and years will require creative solutions and cutting-edge energy innovation, but it will also require an all-of-the-above approach that employs old energy systems in new ways. In one such at

Trump’s China thaw faces resistance from Congress and his own administration

On a state visit to China last month, US President Donald Trump shocked his political base with a series of rhetorical concessions. In an interview, he warmly endorsed Chinese students studying in America, supported China-linked acquisition of US farmland, and dismissed concerns over state espionage as a routine, two-way reality. It was not the first time Trump’s softer stance on China clashed with his own administration’s hardline approach. Even before the summit, he repeatedly suggested...
