Milestone achieved!

Since I unfortunately can't share my joy with anyone, but I want to talk about it somewhere, I'll do it here. I finally managed to reach 6 figures. I grew up poor, both parents dead. Since there's no real estate, I'm actually just saving for my children to give them a head start in life. Finally done! 🤗 PS: All stocks except for a few hundred euros world etf. My luck is AMD with +602% currently submitted by /u/RetardedFloppy [link] [comments]

Ro Khanna, the ranking member of the US House Select Committee on China, has defended calling a witness “racist” during testimony last week over comments on Chinese-Americans who obtain US citizenship through birthright. Why the AI future won’t be decided by algorithms and chatbots

When people talk about the race for artificial intelligence, they usually focus on software. Headlines revolve around ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek or the latest breakthrough model. Governments announce AI strategies and investors pour billions into start-ups promising to transform everything from medicine to education. Nonetheless, the most consequential battle in the AI age may not be over algorithms at all. It may be over the machines. Behind every chatbot response and AI-generated image lies a..

Chip supply chain braces for more price hikes as upstream parts create new bottlenecks

The AI-driven price surge in the semiconductor supply chain is spreading beyond graphics processing units (GPUs) and memory chips to upstream materials and manufacturing inputs, creating new bottlenecks that could slow the buildout of global artificial intelligence infrastructure. Suppliers of once less-visible parts are gaining leverage as customers compete for limited capacity. These range from power chips and capacitors that regulate electricity inside AI data centres, to copper-clad...

LLMs changed the world, but could they be the next Airline industry?

I don't think anyone would deny that LLMs are hugely useful for a ton of tasks (coding, customer service, translation & editing services). Looking back historically towards similar industries, no one would deny that air travel has similarly changed the world for the better. But I can't help but wonder if LLM companies could end up like Airlines. Note, I'm not talking about Nvidia or other hardware companies. Airbus itself has been consistently profitable for the last 25 years. I think there are
