Hypothesis: Aging will be solved by inflation

The state no longer has many options to address aging. It is too late to convert the pension from the pay-as-you-go system to something else. But if a worker has to feed more and more pensioners, then working becomes less and less worthwhile and this leads to a vicious circle. If he decides to use his time for something else, then he earns less, which leads to lower payments, which then leads to an increase in contributions, which then means no work

Convincing parents to invest

Hi all, As the title goes, how do I convince my parents to invest? Luckily they have a decent pension fund that may be just enough to sustain living back in our home country which I would consider LCOL. However, my issue is that they are just cash savers. No other investments and they cannot grasp the value of investing. I’ve tried explaining the effects of inflation and that there are other investing opportunities that are low risk but they just don’t get it. They are retiring in about 5 years

America's Rare Earth Reckoning Could Create a New Strategic Powerhouse

As the Pentagon’s 2027 ban on Chinese-origin rare earth materials moves closer, REalloys (NASDAQ: ALOY) is locking down exclusive control of the biggest heavy rare earth metallization systems outside of China. The company says its $20.6 million investment into the Saskatchewan Research Council’s (SRC) rare earth processing facility in Saskatoon secures exclusive preferred rights to up to 80% of expanded production capacity — including commercial-scale NdPr, dysprosium, and terbium output that “n

Why America’s Gas Power Boom Could End in Disaster

There are over 100 new gas fired power stations under construction in the US. The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects that domestic gas demand will rise 6% next year as some of those new plants enter commercial operation. All we can say is this is not likely to be a blip but rather a new, higher, demand baseline. These new gas power plants are designed to last more than thirty years. As we’ve said before, this is the transition in central station power generation that the US util

Express certificates

I would be interested in your opinion on the subject of express certificates. For screwballs like me, they seem to have been made: After all the recent rally, I don't believe in stock markets necessarily only rising in the medium term, but I don't believe in a complete crash either. So I exchange the possible unlimited upside of an ETF/stock investment for defined return opportunities + risk buffer. submitted by /u/Ok-Minimum-9613 [link] [comments]

Iranian, Russian Crude Premiums Slide as China Pulls Back on Imports

Weak demand from Iran’s top crude buyer, China, has dragged Iranian flagship oil prices into discounts to ICE Brent for the first time in two months, trade sources told Reuters on Thursday. Demand for Iranian oil in its biggest export market has waned in recent weeks, as imports in China slump to multi-month lows and the independent refiners, the so-called teapots that buy the bulk of Iran’s oil, reduce run rates. This has dragged the price of Iranian Light crude to discounts ranging from $0.50
