Alberta and Ottawa Greenlight New Pacific Pipeline

Alberta’s Premier Danielle Smith and federal Prime Minister Mark Carney have made the official announcement of a new oil pipeline, to be built to Canada’s Pacific coast, broadening the access of Canadian oil producers to the Asian market. The decision is a departure from previous Liberal governments’ energy agenda, which excluded the expansion of oil pipelines due to pressure from environmentalist groups and a focus on the energy transition away from hydrocarbons. Despite his firm support for th

I came across this interesting fact while doing some quick research. For everyone who always wonders whether they would earn normally. The €100,000 deposit is apparently not the standard at all. The average private equity investor in Germany has a portfolio volume of around 34,900 euros. Washington prepares for world-record fireworks, but will it end in a smoke show?

An “unforgettable” tribute to America, or a health hazard that will terrorise animals and pollute the environment? The Trump administration’s “Freedom250” project has hired Pennsylvania-based Pyrotecnico to launch more than 850,000 fireworks shells across 10 sites around the Lincoln Memorial and Potomac River, starting at 10.30pm and lasting.

Tehran Is Racing the Clock to Export as Much Oil as Possible

Iran is wasting no time in returning full steam to the oil export market after the Islamic Republic and the United States agreed in mid-June on a 60-day window to negotiate a deal. Since the memorandum of understanding was signed and the U.S. blockade aimed at preventing Iranian oil exports was lifted, Tehran has exported millions of barrels of its oil and has probably raised more revenues from these sales as the discounts of the Iranian crude to benchmarks have narrowed. In the memorandum of un

Europe’s Energy Transition Stalls as Heat Wave Exposes the Cost of Inaction

London Climate Action Week took place during an intense heat wave last week, causing some of the planned events to be cancelled and calling extra attention to the urgency of the summit’s cause. UK teen rapists get detention after outrage at lenient sentences

Two British teenagers convicted of rape must serve time in custody, an appeal judge ruled on Thursday, after a public outcry over a judge’s decision to spare them detention. Lower court judge Nicholas Rowland in May sentenced the two 15-year-old boys to three-year youth rehabilitation orders, saying he wanted to “avoid criminalising these children unnecessarily”. However, the sentences provoked a severe backlash, prompting Attorney General Richard Hermer – the government’s chief legal adviser –.

I’ve been on autopilot for 3 years and just checked my account for the first time in a while

I set up automatic monthly contributions in early 2023 and basically stopped paying attention. Just opened the app for the first time in maybe 14 months. Some things I did not expect: NVDA is now 31% of my portfolio. I bought it in 2022 when it was down and then mostly forgot about it. I apparently also own Palantir. I genuinely do not remember buying Palantir. My total return over the last 3 years is around 94%. I am almost certain I would have done worse if I had been checking every week. Now
