Looking for an alternative trading app in Europe

I made €200k in ETFs and my mistake was choosing ABN Amro Bux zero app as it was easy and I was new 4 years ago. Now the app doesn't open for some reason. Not sure if it has anything to do with SPCX IPO. Anyway, looking for an alternative trader app which is reliable for my portfolio, what do you recommend? I'm planning to go to Interactive Broker but it seems to be a bit complex. Could the upcoming mega-IPOs create temporary selling pressure on the broader market?

Could the upcoming mega IPOs create temporary selling pressure on the broader market? I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts are on the potential impact of the upcoming IPO wave, particularly SpaceX, OpenAI and Anthropic. SpaceX has already completed what is being described as the largest IPO in history, while OpenAI and Anthropic have both moved toward public listings. Together, these companies could represent several trillion dollars in market capitalization and potentially require hundreds of b

Europe Wary Of Too Much Dependence on U.S. LNG

European buyers aren’t committing to long-term LNG supply agreements with U.S. exporters despite the ongoing EU phase-out of Russian gas imports and the supply crisis in the Middle East. U.S. developers and proponents of new LNG export facilities in America have been trying to lock in long-term supply deals with European importers, with little success so far this year, U.S. executives have told Bloomberg. The Europeans are interested in discussions, but not really committing to long-term supply

Trump Says Iran Peace Deal Could Be Signed Within Days

US President Donald Trump ‌has claimed that a "great settlement" has been reached with Iran to end the Middle East war and that the agreement could be signed as early as this weekend, possibly in Europe. "We just made a great settlement of the war with Iran," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on June 11. He added, though, that the agreement is still "subject to finalization of documents, which should get done, over the next few days, probably have a signing, maybe in Europe." Asked by repo

£210k to invest - I narrowed down to 2, max 3 ETFs, wanted to discuss (90% goes to All-World, rest something for “fun”)

Hi Everyone, After a week of heavy research I think I have finally narrowed down to ETFs I want to invest in. Wanted to ask about final opinion as this Sub was very helpful. I invest in GBP in the UK but these are popular ETFs with Euro equivalent too. 1) £180k – either SWDA or ACWI, the difference is in annual fee 0.2% for BlackRock SWDA or 0.12% for ACWI from State Street. I understand both are the most popular (along with Vanguard) and reputable Global ETFs. 2) £10k-£15k – AVWS – I wasn’t thi

Norway Pitches Arctic Resources as Key to EU Energy Security

Norway has intensified its charm offensive to persuade the European Union to drop its ban on Arctic drilling by campaigning that oil and gas resources in the High North would be better for the energy security of its closest ally than LNG supplies from the Middle East or the United States. Norway, which is not a member of the EU but is the biggest gas supplier to European markets, has been lobbying the bloc this year to drop its opposition to drilling in the Arctic. The Iran war and the biggest o

The Nasdaq Changed Its Rules Weeks Before the Biggest IPO in History

The AI bubble won't crash. It'll just slowly empty your retirement account instead. SpaceX lost $4.9 billion last year. OpenAI won't be profitable until 2030. Anthropic is filing at nearly a trillion dollar valuation. All three are entering index funds your retirement account tracks automatically. The timeline is worth looking at. February 2026, Nasdaq opens consultation to change inclusion rules. May 1, Nasdaq implements new rules cutting the seasoning period from three months to 15 days. May 2

23M with 10k€ saved ; How would you allocate it?

23M (turning 24 soon) from Europe with around €10k to my name. I still live with my parents, work a student job, and make roughly €1,000–1,400/month. I’m not sure how to split my money between cash, my bank account, and investments. I’m considering investing in VWCE for the long term, but I don’t want to invest everything since I’d also like to have money available to spend and enjoy life. If you were in my position, how would you allocate the €10k and future monthly income? submitted by /u/manc

Europe is blaming China’s economic rise for its own failures, think tank says

As the European Union prepares tougher measures to counter what it sees as the “China shock 2.0”, a researcher with a Beijing-linked think tank has accused Brussels of clinging to a flawed narrative that China’s economic rise is an inherent threat to Europe. The criticism came as Beijing reportedly cancelled two high-level meetings with the EU in the Chinese capital this month, including a ministerial-level digital dialogue and a visit by a senior EU diplomat, according to the Financial Times on

Oil Prices Tumble 4% on Iran Peace Optimism

Oil prices plunged by more than 4% early on Friday as the market hopes the U.S. and Iran have made progress toward a peace deal. As of morning trade in Europe, the international benchmark, Brent Crude, had slipped by 4.34% at $86.36, extending the losses from Thursday when U.S. President Donald Trump called off a strike on Iran, claiming that a deal had been reached. China-EU tensions, Xi in North Korea, flatlining retail sales

China called on major nations to “foster a free and facilitative trading environment” ahead of two summits next week that may herald a trade war with the European Union. Vice-Premier Zhang Guoqing said China was “steadfastly expanding high-standard opening up” in a videoconference hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney attended along with representatives from Brazil, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea,...

EU tech sovereignty may be ‘illusion’ as China, US dominate AI: Chinese expert

The EU’s concept of tech sovereignty may prove an “illusion” in a world where artificial intelligence is dominated by China and the US, a Chinese expert has argued, urging Beijing to seize the opportunity provided by Donald Trump to make its products “indispensable” to middle powers. The European Union rolled out its Technological Sovereignty Package last week in a bid to help the bloc become “a global leader” in artificial intelligence and protect its “digital independence”. The EU defined tech

A 0.9% index weight just triggered up to $1.75B in forced buying, and the stock dropped anyway

Index inclusion is one of the few genuinely scheduled events in markets. When a name gets added, every fund tracking that index has to buy it, on a known date, whether the manager likes the price or not. The Hang Seng Tech Index just added two Chinese AI companies, Zhipu and MiniMax, at a combined weight under 1%. Morgan Stanley still pegged the passive buying at roughly 1.25 to 1.75 billion dollars. A sub 1% weight pulling in that much non discretionary demand is the part people underestimate a
