Save my mother's pension

I come from a migrant family and since I'm now old enough and know something (little) about pension provision, I've decided to take a look at my mother's pension, since she's not very good at such "official" things due to a slight language barrier. Unfortunately, she has only been working slightly above the minimum wage for around 12 years and therefore her statutory pension is pretty poor, but at 52 she still has some time left. Before that, I was a housewife and mother. :D Mei
