Essential content

A motion from the ALLIANCE 90/THE GREENS parliamentary group was debated in the Bundestag, which is directed against a return to energy imports from Russia. The application calls, among other things, to permanently exclude the commissioning of the Nord Stream pipelines, to secure critical infrastructure in European hands, to end Russian energy imports by 2027 at the latest and to reduce the energy dependence of autocracies worldwide. In addition, the energy transition should be accelerated by expanding renewable energies, green hydrogen and more energy efficiency in order to ensure security, climate protection and stable energy prices. The Committee for Economic Affairs and Energy made a recommendation for the application, which was voted on by name. It recommended that the application be rejected. The recommendation was adopted with 443 yes votes to 85 no votes and 55 abstentions. The application from the ALLIANCE 90/THE GREENS faction was therefore rejected.

No vote breakdown available yet — either the proceeding is still pending, or per-MP data will be fetched in a follow-up step.
