Essential content

The Saxon state parliament voted on the state government's budget law 2025/2026. The Budget Act 2025/2026 determines how much money the Free State of Saxony should receive and spend in the two years. It also regulates whether and to what extent loans can be taken out. With the budget law, parliament decides on the country's entire financial plan. For example, expenditure is planned for the construction and renovation of buildings in the education sector, the payment of teachers, investments in more modern equipment for the police or the maintenance of bridges and railways. The Budget and Finance Committee had a recommendation for a resolution on the draft law, in which the committee recommended the adoption of the law in the version decided by the committee. The bill was approved in amended form with 62 votes in favour. 52 MPs voted against and there were no abstentions. Nam Duy Nguyen (The Left) voted no, unlike the rest of his group.

No vote breakdown available yet — either the proceeding is still pending, or per-MP data will be fetched in a follow-up step.
