Withdraw third amendment to the State Development Plan (LEP).
The North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament has voted on a proposal from the FDP parliamentary group. In it, the group demands that the 3rd amendment to the state development plan (LEP) be withdrawn. The government recently severely restricted the consumption of raw materials and land through the so-called 5 hectare principle. This states that the daily consumption of land for settlement and transport purposes should be limited to a maximum of five hectares per day on average. The FDP sees this as a threat to the economy. Instead of limiting the extraction of raw materials, the state government should prioritize economic growth and reducing bureaucracy. The motion was rejected with 146 votes against and 20 in favor. There were no abstentions.
