The EU Parliament adopted a resolution on measures to address the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip in a roll-call vote. Parliament condemns the blockade of humanitarian aid by Israel and calls for the opening of all border crossings and the resumption of UN aid for refugees from Palestine. At the same time, MPs are calling for an immediate ceasefire and the release of all Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip. Parliament also calls for possible war crimes and violations of international law to be investigated. It is also important for the MPs to implement a two-state solution, i.e. the establishment of an independent state of Palestine alongside Israel, as a basis for peace and security in the region.
