Essential content

The AfD parliamentary group has submitted a motion to the Bundestag in which the group demands that the dismantling of decommissioned nuclear power plants be stopped immediately and that the reactors be put back into operation as quickly as possible. In the application, the nuclear phase-out is described as a mistake that makes the power supply unsafe. The parliamentary group therefore wants to change the Atomic Energy Act so that electricity production from nuclear power is permitted again. In addition, Germany should join the international “nuclear alliance” for more nuclear power. There was a recommendation for a resolution from the Committee for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety for the application, which recommended rejection. A roll-call vote was taken on the recommended resolution, which was accepted with 449 yes votes to 131 no votes, with no abstentions. The AfD parliamentary group's application was therefore rejected.

No vote breakdown available yet — either the proceeding is still pending, or per-MP data will be fetched in a follow-up step.
