Budget law 2025
In particular, the Bundestag voted on the federal government's draft budget law for 2025. This includes a total of 502.55 billion euros in federal spending. Among other things, 62.73 billion euros should be allowed to be spent on investments, and net borrowing should be 81.8 billion euros. Above all, the federal government would like to invest in the areas of mobility, digitalization, innovation, education and research as well as climate protection in the future. For this purpose, a special infrastructure and climate neutrality fund worth 37.2 billion euros should be set up. A report and several recommendations for resolutions from the Budget Committee on the individual plans as well as a statement from the Federal Council were available for the 2025 Budget Act. The federal government's draft law on the determination of the federal budget for the 2025 financial year was approved with 324 yes votes. 268 MPs voted against and there were no abstentions.
