Faster switch to flat-rate financing for private special schools
The state parliament in Bavaria has rejected a proposal from the ALLIANCE 90/THE GREENS parliamentary group for a flat rate in the financing of private special schools. The application called on the government to simplify and accelerate the conversion of the financing of private special schools in Bavaria to flat-rate billing. The background was that individual billing of costs often leads to long processing times and high outstanding amounts. In some cases, school authorities wait many years for the final accounting of their expenses. Flat-rate financing is intended to simplify procedures, reduce administrative costs and give schools more planning security. The application was rejected with 105 votes against. 32 MPs voted yes, there were no abstentions.
