The AfD parliamentary group's motion entitled "Returning medical care for foreigners to the constitutionally required minimum - based on the Danish model" was rejected by the Bundestag. A roll call vote was taken on a recommendation from the Health Committee, in which the rejection of the application was recommended. In its application, the AfD parliamentary group demands that asylum seekers should no longer receive health services that go beyond ensuring health in acute emergencies. This includes, for example, psychotherapeutic offers and the treatment of chronic illnesses. Denmark serves as a model, where only acute emergency treatment, pain therapy and life-threatening or non-delayable medical measures are taken for asylum seekers. According to the application, the reduction to a minimum of medical services should apply to all asylum seekers in the future, regardless of the length of stay in Germany. The recommendation was accepted with 434 votes against. 126 MPs voted in favor, there were no abstentions. The application was therefore rejected.
