AntragrejectedSubmitted: December 13, 2025Vote: December 13, 2025
Essential content

The state parliament has rejected a motion from the AfD parliamentary group that would call on the state government to take a clear position on the planned ban on internal combustion engines in the EU from 2035. The state government should explain how it feels about the end of the combustion engine, whether it is sticking to its previous assessments of the drive change and to what extent it is reassessing the possible effects on industry and employment in the state. The parliamentary group is also demanding information about whether the state government sees deindustrialization as a result of the switch to electric drives. The application was rejected with 125 votes against. 15 MPs voted in favor and there were no abstentions.
