Immediate moratorium on the use of mRNA-based vaccines
The Hessian state parliament has rejected a proposal from the AfD parliamentary group entitled “Immediate moratorium on the use of mRNA-based vaccines”. In the application, the parliamentary group expresses fundamental concerns about the use of mRNA vaccines, which were used on a large scale for the first time during the corona pandemic. With the application, the AfD is calling on the state government to advocate for a moratorium on the use of mRNA-based vaccines at federal and EU level until open questions about safety and benefit-risk assessment have been clarified. In addition, state authorities should refrain from publicly recommending such vaccines as long as relevant questions have not been conclusively clarified. In addition, according to the AfD, the state government should advocate for independent and transparent evaluation of safety-relevant data, disclosure of possible conflicts of interest in connection with the approval and recommendation of vaccines, and against any form of pressure or coercion in vaccination decisions. The application was rejected with 99 votes against and 25 votes in favor.
